When You Walk into the Room - Jesus Culture8th September 2017
When you walk into the room
Darkness starts to tremble
At the light that you bring
And when you walk into the room
Every heart starts burning
And nothing matters more
Than just to sit here at your feet
And worship you
God is always there. But despite His omnipresence, I can’t help but be in awe and wonder when He makes His presence known. I get this warm and giddy feeling and experience a roller coaster of emotions. Perhaps a mix of excitement, peace, joy, freedom, and a light but heavy, tangible weight on my heart. This special moment can happen anywhere and to anyone.
We love you
We’ll never stop
We can’t live without you, Jesus
We love you
And we can’t get enough
All this is for you, Jesus
Whether it be in a crowded room of worshippers, when I do my devotion, or when I am alone in room, God’s presence shifts everything. And when this happens I am reminded once again of how small but loved I am, and that because of His love I am free to love Him also. (1 John 4:16)
I am reminded that regardless my situation it’s not about my circumstance but about the beauty He brings and can bring into the darkest chapter of my life (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
I am reminded that I can come empty handed to the foot of His throne, but be accepted just as I am (Ephesians 1:6).
I am reminded that there’s nothing like the presence of God, and the more I taste His sweetness the more I realise how much I need Him. (Genesis 28:15; Exodus: 33:14)
My heart has been won.
